Hi!  I’m Doug.  Doug Couto.  Or, more formally, Douglas Barbosa Couto.  No, I am not related to Captain Barbosa from Pirates of the Caribbean.  You can call me Doug.  Or, Doug Couto.  Or, more formally, Douglas Barbosa Couto.

I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and immigrated to the United States with my parents in 1989.  I grew up in Somerville, MA and moved to Lynn, MA in 2001.  In 2009, I became a US citizen.

I’ve been working with Sitecore every day since 2008 and got my first Sitecore certification on 5.3.  I’m a two-time Sitecore MVP – 2013 and 2014.

And, if you’re interested, I am married and my wife and I have two girls (the boy I’m holding in the in the picture is our nephew).
